Selecting an Artist

You should determine which Artist
is your #1 pick. In the event that the Artist is not
available, you should have a backup list of other Artists
that you are interested in, in order of preference. |

Check with your In Demand Talent representative to determine pricing and availability. |
BEFORE you make an offer
| • |
Reserve the venue/facility needed
for your date. Make sure you have a confirmation in
writing, and that the venue/facility will be accessible
for the entire day of the show. |

Have Artist, Artist fees, and
the show in general approved by the proper authorities.

| • |
Make sure you are able to meet
the minimum technical requirements that are listed on
the Artist Rider. |
| • |
Check for conflicts at surrounding
colleges, night clubs, arenas, etc. |
Upon confirmation from In Demand
| • |
Prepare your Marketing Plan:
| - |
Advertising. (newspaper,
internet, posters, flyers, mailers) |
| - |
Commercial spots on radio/TV |
All the necessary promotional materials can be obtained from In Demand Talent. |
| • |
Organize ticket printing and distribution
to ticket outlets. |
| • |
Make arrangements for all major
technical requirements i.e. stage, sound & lights, etc.
per Artist's specifications. |
| • |
Hire the appropriate volunteer/paid
staff for the day of the concert: i.e. Front of House,
Production, Security, Stagehands, Runners, etc. |
Upon receipt of contracts
| • |
Review, sign, and return Artist
contracts in a timely manner. |
| • |
Make sure your show has been properly advanced by the Artist Tour/Road Manager. Ensure all requirements as set forth in Artist Rider will be taken care of. If you have any problems with any of the items be sure to contact your In Demand Talent representative immediately. |

All requirements/deadlines regarding:
fire, police, school permits, support acts, venue etc,
should now be complete. |
| • |
Ensure all the necessary staff
has been organized. |
| • |
Update advertising, if necessary. |
5-10 days prior to show
| • |
Provide a schedule for the day
of the show for all staff members. |
| • |
Re-confirm building, electrician,
parking and security staff. |
| • |
If there is a balance due, ensure
Artist payment is available for disbursement on day
of show. |
